Tom Planavsky III – Owner & Licensed Electrician
I’m Tom Planavsky III, the proud owner and licensed electrician behind Thomas & Sons Electrical Contractor. With over 15 years of experience in the construction industry, I’ve worn many hats—from electrical superintendent to project manager for both regional and national contractors, as well as serving as an MEP consultant for large-scale projects like airport construction. Each of these roles has deepened my understanding of the industry and strengthened my commitment to delivering quality work.
My passion for electrical work began at a young age, inspired by my father, who worked as a general foreman for an electrical contractor in New York. I grew up watching him work, often lending a hand on small projects around the house and during my school breaks. That early exposure sparked a lifelong interest in the field, and after stepping away from electrical work briefly to explore general contracting, I realized how much I missed the craft that I had always loved.
In August 2023, I made the decision to return to my roots and start Thomas & Sons Electrical Contractor, with a focus on delivering dependable, high-quality electrical solutions. My vision for this company is simple: to carry forward the values of hard work, integrity, and precision that were instilled in me from the beginning. As we grow, I remain dedicated to fostering a company culture that emphasizes safety, craftsmanship, and trust, ensuring that each project exceeds our clients’ expectations.
